JoAnn Dutton is a multidisciplinary artist whose work bridges the worlds of large-scale fabrication, environmental design/build, general construction, and mixed-media sculptural fine art. With a background that spans decades of immersive habitat creation for zoological parks, museums, and public institutions—as well as the design and construction of refined outdoor living spaces for commercial and residential properties—she brings an uncommon mastery of materials, scale, and spatial storytelling to her current work in frequency-based art.
Rooted in both artistic instinct and structural expertise, JoAnn’s creative approach was shaped by early studies in landscape/garden design, international travel, and a professional foundation at the world-renowned Larson Company—designers and builders of themed environments across the globe. She went on to establish a business dedicated to zoological exhibit design/build and behavioral enrichment fabrication, producing installations for institutions across the country. In more recent years, her work has extended into the design of outdoor spaces for both residential and commercial properties, where raw materials and plant life—through color, texture, and cohesive rhythm—invite a sense of harmony and grounding.
JoAnn’s upcoming fine art collection carries forward the lineage of her life journey’s creative evolution. This body of work explores the unseen—frequency, resonance, and the encoded language of the heart. Her pieces invite reflection, presence, and energetic coherence, offering not just visual experience but somatic recognition.
Whether featured in public settings or held in private collection, all of JoAnn’s pieces speak with intention. They invite emotional coherence and uphold the enduring role of art as a catalyst for connection.
