When a client was considering a climbing boulder for their young grandchildren in the garden, JoAnn suggested a giant caterpillar instead. Sculpted from high-density foam with an epoxy shell and flexible urethane antennae, the piece was inspired by the vibrant markings and lively movement of the black swallowtail caterpillar, brought to monumental scale.
