In collaboration with a colleague, JoAnn created and installed all of the median signs throughout the city of Calabasas. She implemented the conceptual design into a cohesive, structurally integrated armature for the veneer and capstone—personally designing and fabricating the full scope of simulated wood beams in which the street names were embedded and attached. Each beam was constructed in sections to give the illusion of continuous pass-through.
