As a part of inSITE 2000, this oversized replica of an original sand spike, discovered at the base of Mt. Signal, was commissioned by New York artist Allan McCollum for an addition to his own project. It is made up of a welded steel armature and concrete, which was textured with customized texture pads created specifically to replicate the sand spike.
